Ode to David Bowie
Oh, David Bowie, how I admire you!
You are the Goose to my Maverick,
you are the Bubba to my Forrest.
From Ground Control to Major Tom,
to Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars,
you are strange in the best way possible. Thank you for helping me see life on Mars.Thank you for being my hero just for one day. You are the one and only Starman,
the one and only Bowie. I hope your spaceship knows which way to go.

My name is Alex and I'm from a small town in Oklahoma. I was probably around 8 or 9 years old when I first heard Bowie. I remember being in the car with my mom and she asked me to play space oddity through the speakers in the car, and because I didn't want my butt whooped I did. At first, it was just that song mixed in with various others, but as time passed I started listening to others, like Starman, Heroes, and Rebel Rebel, now he is one of my all-time favorites and I think of him like a friend.
