The Tumor Cultivates Regardless
Depression overwhelms and dominates me,
Gnatingly growing,
Isolating my malfunctioning mind
Inside an ill silhouette.
Absorbed by utter dejection.
The knife breaks the skin.
The ubiquitous scars are stubborn,
Publicly branding my sickness.
I am fatigued and immobile,
Forced to a coma-like oblivion.
Pondering the polarity of desperations.
The lumps and masses are unearthing.
My hard armor is softening,
Providing a treacherous recovery,
Swelling seas of throbbing agony.
I question existence and expiration.
The unwelcomed cells grow,
Multiplying in magnitude.
The pill is hard to swallow.
Infectious chemicals flow through the bloodstream,
Conquering the malignant disease.
The weight of the masses shrinks.
I am fighting the battle,
Hoping to conquer,
But I still feel a loss.
