“Hardwork beats talent, when talent doesent work hard”

Definitive, strong, and defiant, you were

Your scribbles on me became courage that others still have yet to find

I can still smell the smoke waft in through the cracks in the windows

Your ink scars my paper, and your rampage goes on, forever living in the stars above

The stars where you lay your head, there luminescent glow,

smiling down at the world below

The world we used to rule

You would rant on me about your mother,

Your pen moving fast and furiously

Your hope remained steadfast as you still write on me in the midst of this struggle

My red checkered cover, you loved to turn over,

even when you knew it would be the last

But now you live alone, as I tell our legacy to the world

The world we used to control

I'm not sure how you tolerated Dussel

I often stayed in there with him, his snores shaking the room

the nights grew cold after you left, and your photos of celebrities stared back at me

the house was as still and stagnant

like the puddle of hate that stood in the streets outside

I can still hear your distressed whispers with the other jews around you

I can feel your nails gripping into my checkered covered case

And I remember your absence,

And the world around me falls into abyss

The world we used to conquer

I can almost taste out victory, a strong bellicose that would linger on your tounge

nor bitter, nor sweet

I see the light of your future grow dim, as if your candle had been blown out

Even as your candles smoke blows in the winds below

Your spark still lives on in many others

I am now read over multiple countries

and millions of kids and adults have caught on to the flame you once started

I will continue to share your story through the pages you wrote on me so long ago

As your spark, has now started a wildfire

Consuming everyone, and everything in its path

now I conquer alone, goodbye my dear friend,

may the stars treat you well
