Coming home from school seeing my mother's pain,
It hurt me. Expressing feelings is a weakness, overeating

This is a sijo piece, written about the time my mother had cancer. It was a very hard time in my life looking back, but now that she is almost 5 years cancer free I am so happy for her. She has been a large inspiration to me.
