Autumn
AUTUMN:
The leaves are changing
From a dark green to a rich orange
This is always my favorite time
The cold is taking over
I can see my own breath
Indicating that Christmas is near
Benches left unsat due to freezing rain
As I am freezing from my first step outside
I take time to appreciate the little things in life
The beauty of nature
There is something so peaceful about it
As I sit there shivering
Feeling as if I am in Antarctica
I put the scorching cup of hot coco to my mouth
The coco, scorching hot as molten lava…
So refreshing,
All I can do is smile

I made this poem because we are currently going through fall right now and I really enjoy this time of year. On my drive to school everyday I notice all the orange leaves and the smell of pumpkin spice always puts a smile on my face. So it inspired me to make a poem of how I feel when I notice all these seasonal changes
