black lives matter,

Racism, and insecurity

big in our world that hit in 2020-2022,

George Floyd's situation, COVID-19, and Racism when it came to cops and shootings.

Our black people being pinned down on the concrete and on cop cars

Shootings where people won’t make it out alive

Victims never get justice for the violence that was caused by the oppressors

Mothers. Fathers and children of the victims who were hurt

Making vigils on the streets and places where the event happened

Protests and marching in the streets and roads of Minneapolis

For peace, For freedom

For God’s light and miracle to shine down on Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota

For change

Everyone to be United again and for things to be better again

There was a time with insecurities with people's bodies on social media and how we see ourselves in real

live vs

What we see in media,

if it is photoshopped or natural or a filter or just fake,

being more open and loving to ourselves.

Instead of how others view us

Unique and different in our own way

We can be the change we want to see in the world

Not one person

Multiple

Together as one

Spreading positivity

Something about this Poem that I loved is that we were able to take our ideas and write them in a poem, and I felt that I could relate to it well. It's something strong that I can also write about and tell about because some of these events happened during covid. What I wrote about is a little bit of our reality as human beings of what people go through when scrolling through social media, sometimes, you can't tell what's real or what's fake, and you have to learn to be true to yourself and not care what others think. With more than one person, anyone can make a difference and impact someone's life if you are willing to try and put effort, and some difference can happen with a little act of kindness.
