I Am
I am from waking up and the hearing chirps from feathered friends.
From watching a movie early Saturday morning
From walking my dog into the fog.
From eating noodles, tacos, and ice cream any chance I get.
I am from looking at my cousin through a phone when we aren't hanging out.
I am from hitting a yellow ball with red lacing, hoping it goes over the fence
almost every summer night.
From swinging in lakes and screaming when I feel a fish or a weed.
I am from playing games with my family and getting a little too competitive.
I am from sitting by the light from the warm fire late summer nights,
eating gooey, crunchy, chocolatey treats.
From staying up late and repeating the same thing the next day.

This poem is what my day looks like in the summertime. My name is Isabella and I like baking and playing softball.
