Perfectly Flawed
I have too much to say,
But I forgot when I’ve felt this way
From the start, we had each other's heart.
You brought in a whole new light
And we got along, without doubt.
But I know that I can’t go for it.
You know I used to paint such vibrant dreams now I’m colorblind
I’m still struggling with these demons of mine.
And I never meant to act fake.
I look at you and sometimes see what I believe is true,
That you’d do right by my side.
But then I am haunted by my own mind.
About all the problems I could bring,
If I was selfish and followed my ambitions.
Sadly, we’re the two positive ends of a magnet.
You know I used to paint such vibrant dreams now I’m colorblind
Maybe you could’ve been mine,
Buy I’ll carry on with what’s in my heart
Because if I say it we’ll both get hurt.
Cupid’s arrow slightly nudges me, but never fully enters.
We force ourselves to go on without each other,
Yet we’re stupidly praying that we don’t grow any further.
You know I used to paint such vibrant dreams now I’m colorblind
