My walk in the Dark

January 16, 2022

The street is dark.

I'm looking down the street,

It looks like the end of a tunnel.

Life is a tunnel.

We train through it till we finally reach the light.

Noone of us make it out of this fight.

I see a squashed cockroach on the ground.

It lived just to die.

I see the streetlight,

That has purpose

That's something that benefits the people

Not the cockroach

I continue to walk down the block

I feel the breeze,

Geez louise, imagine what heaven feels like

I should have done this project on a bike

Or i might, just run

Run so far,

So far away, a place I actually want to stay.

Not here

But somewhere where there is dear, and cattle and rivers,

Where i can sit by a campfire a chisel,

Away at my problems

Make them go away

Instead, I walk and try to enjoy,

Enjoy what life has to offer, so here I shall stay
