Never Shall I Forget
Never shall I forget that night.
The night where nothing will be the same.
Then everything changed.
Never shall I forget when everything was different.
So different that things didn't taste the same.
Even the most familiar smell wasn't the same.
Never shall I forget the call.
Seeing everyone cry and facing heartbreak.
The heartbreak that truly made me break.
Never shall I forget hearing all the thoughts.
The thoughts were overwhelming.
The thoughts of nothing will be normal again.
Knowing that the thoughts are most likely true.
Also having thoughts that everything needs time.
With time everything will soon be back to normal.
Never shall I forget the feeling of being alone.
So alone that no one felt present.
Everyone is around but no one can touch you.
Knowing that it will be a while till we say hello again.
Never Shall I forget when everything was finally normal.
Normal where thoughts were no longer overwhelming.
Then the smell and taste were normal again.
