The Excitement Within Sledding
As I button up my snow pants and zip up my coat,
My body fills up with excitement and I can not wait to feel afloat.
As I grab my sled,
My cheeks turn red.
The winter chill burns my lips,
As the wind aggressively whips.
As I walk over to the hill all I see is white,
The stars above me shine so bright.
The walk up the hill is ever so steep,
As I accomplish this amazing feat.
When I finally make it to the top of the hill,
The sledding hill is nothing but still.
Many children screaming with joy,
As they race as far as Illinois.
My friends and I hop on our sled,
While we follow the group ahead.
We watch as they race down the hill knowing our turn is near,
All of us begin to cheer.
The moment has come that we all have been waiting for,
The wait is finally no more.
