A Writer’s Journey
A bright google doc having a staring contest with me. The space bar that’s flashing, yelling at me to start typing. All my ideas feel stuffed and compressed inside of me behind a wall, refusing to leave. I curse at myself, annoyance and frustration boiling up inside of me. I grit my teeth while trying to break the wall between my ideas and me.
And then it finally cracks.
Words start to flow out of my fingertips, sentences forming in the blink of an eye. In a matter of minutes, a whole essay pops up onto the screen. I feel the claws on my scrunched up shoulders release their grip as words populate the page. I stretch and curl my fingers in and out while reading the paragraphs that were once a stingingly bright white screen.
