Your Sunless Rainbow
Red, rich red.
Dark as stories you’ve read.
Thick as you once bled.
Deep as thoughts in your head.
Blue, midnight blue.
The sky’s stars are your queue.
Blue as the cloud around you.
Blue like mountain range views.
Opulent, purple shade.
Unaffordable and forbade.
Sickly sweet and cliched.
Materialism shall fade.
Pure, olive green.
An unpredictable machine
Will always be redeemed
By the end of its routine.
Black, black as night.
As the demon you fight.
As wrongs you can’t make right.
As your hopeless plight.
