A Sample Of Home

The taste and laughter are sweet,

such as a warm Hallow's Eve treat.

The cold, refreshing smoothie satisfies my thirst,

my dad's chuckles transform into a burst.

My dog's smile never fades,

all hopeful to remember these memories till our very last days.

The rain patters against the roof of my room,

the thunder erupting into a loud boom.

My screen's bright rays light up my eyes,

my pen with a soft stroke drawing another person's demise.

I wish no harm upon them,

their bodies stuck in 2d.

I simply wish for a different ending,

other than a simple ABC.

Their existence will forever be infinite,

matching with my ring.

I admire the infinite possibilities,

of what lies beyond the sea.

I adore the fear of the unknown,

my mind is driven wild.

Filled with thoughts of futures,

and soft puffy clouds.

I hope to see my future,

achieving what I dream of.

Does your mind ever wander,

past the groves of vines and thorns?

I hope my writing isn’t too chaotic,

like a dark and raging storm.

Enjoy and determine the meaning,

but it will forever remain a mystery.

Stars and Serpents

Wishing on stars is a true wonder,

until your happy ending begins to plunder.

Things of youth stolen by the desired,

a new fear being acquired.

Many people wish for true love's touch,

before discovering the truth of misjudge.

I believed he was the one for me,

that we would get married along the sea.

Hands held tight to one another’s,

promised to forever be lovers.

But beyond the facade of soothing and succeed,

lies a demon stirring with greed.

His gentle touch replaced with calls of lies,

this change took me by surprise.

I was the victim put on trial,

before the school of eyes and denial.

They labeled and treated me as the liar,

regretting ever being part of his attire.

I can't believe I fell for when he called me the prettiest girl,

and that I shined brighter than the brightest pearl.

Be careful for serpents in your garden of youth,

for some may come to try and deceive you of the truth.

A Quiet Landscape

The sun's light rays among the bright pink sky.

The darkness sounds are piercing and voidless.

The birds sing deep to send their prayers up high.

Grass falls quiet and drought is lifelessness.

The universe shines bright to all who cry.

The trees fall short of leaves of destiny.

The clouds fall dry of rain to those who lie.

Bright colors grow dull from your clarity.

The cries of hope dry quick with fears of light.

Waters crash through homes of recollection.

The pages of time fly fast through the night.

Earth grows silent distanced from connection.

Oh how we wish to see through our failure.

The universe cries out to you, Savior.
