The Call

It happened unexpectedly
Completely out of the blue
One phone call changed our lives forever
And it’s all thanks to you
You don’t know what you have done
But you would have been happy
These people back together now
As one family
There is now sadness
In every one of us.
But there is now acceptance,
And discussion without a fuss.
People who were excluded
Are now part of the team.
And even though this tragedy was unforeseen,
Our family has been cleaned.
One phone call changed our lives,
And it’s all thanks to you.

This is a poem about a recent experience that happened in my family. My uncle unexpectedly died of a heart attack at a family house and it was a hard blow for everyone in the family, especially the one's who didn't have the best relationship with him, including me. Even though this was an awful tragedy, it did end up helping our family come together when we were beforehand divided.
