My peaceful Visitor who always calls
He’s always walking through the halls
Tempting me with His enticing promise
Of Slumber and quiet solace
Sleep calls to me when I am Weary
He’s even more persistent when life seems dreary
And no matter how much my eyes persist
His Temptation lures me and I can’t resist
Rest’s affection never gets Tiring
Escape to happiness he’s always promising
His Comfort I seek to aquire
His attention sometimes all my heart Desires
