Forest
The large pines stand tall
skyscrapers to the creatures below
Drips and drops of dew
Trickle-down leaves like elfin cascades of tears
Emerging from the shadows
The deers are lightning-fast
The glistening pond shimmers in the sunset
All the frogs rush to jump in before settling down for the night,
Splish splash
Splish splash
Owls whoos in the night,
Bats appear from the shadows swooping down to catch their prey
When the sun rises from its slumber
It paints the sky with vibrant colors
The cotton candy sky awakes the creators
A new day has begun

I really like nature and the forest. When it is summertime I love going into the forest and just breathing while listing to music. The forest brings me peace, and I hope this poem brings that to others.
