Nothing Less Than Love
It came on so clearly, a rush of feeling she held so dearly,
The sounds of his horse, the crisp wind whistling lightly in her ear,
The two things her senses could feel, for her heart was starting to yield
She thought, is this real? She hadn't a clue, it seemed but a dream
His gentle, sweet smile and sapphire eyes nothing less than a gleam
It was more than it first seemed
Once upon a night so clear, he had whispered softly in her ear,
“You have not a thing to fear” but after that he'd been forced to go,
He rode off into the midnight sky, stopping once to wave goodbye
She smiled as her soul warmed, even by this one simple gesture
A delicate touch of their hands soft and light as a feather,
Two in love, nothing lesser

I thought it would be nice to try this. I don't usually write romance.
