Calvillo
The air is poisoned with the smell of carbon monoxide,
As the aged trucks drive past you.
As you walk through the rough, harsh sidewalk,
Any step you take can be your downfall.
The dry heat will drive you to insanity,
All you have is a shadow to protect you.
Along with an ice cold can of Coca-Cola,
You can almost taste it.
The laughter of the children and adults,
As they run around the public square.
Not a care for the world,
As the moment is timeless.
This small town,
Has been around for some time,
It's a part of a small state.
It is what I like to call home.
And it's known as Calvillo.
