The Wicked Queen of Red
Imagine a world
full of wonder and dream.
Imagine a land
ruled by a red queen.
A queen so cruel
that most run and hide.
Her foul, unholy smile
can make young ones cry.
Down a rabbit’s hole
into a strange new land.
With wonder to behold
and danger at hand.
I’m the one that disappears.
A magic act.
Do not be fooled,
for I’m no ordinary cat.
You are the one
they call Alice.
Beware for in the east,
lies the red palace.
Beware of the lies
that travel to the east.
The red queen’s spies,
are full of deceit.
A prophecy is told
of a battle among two.
Red versus white,
the hero needed is you.
The day has come
for beasts to be slain.
Save our home,
from this cruel tyrant's reign.
She wants us all dead!
Off with his head!
That’s what she has said,
this wicked queen of red!
The battle has begun
between red and white.
The two champions,
to death do they fight.
What was once a dream
of a world at peace,
now seems lost
to this harsh reality.
With a sword of steel
now at our feet,
the world now welcomes
a champion’s defeat.
To her knees she fell,
with no strength to last.
We watched on
as her death came fast.
The world we love
now full of dread.
For Alice has lost
to the wicked queen of red!

I took the story of Alice in Wonderland and added my own personal twist to it. I always wndered what would happen to a story if the savior and hero were to be killed. Well that is what has happened in my poem. Alice, who was supposed to save Wonderland, was killed during the battle between champions.
