Run-down apartments
and broken-down dreams
you found me
in the deep november flash-freeze
of my mind

let go
of waiting cars
i fled from your nighttime
in search of my own.

beating pulse
how it drove me
for sixteen long years
and who could've known
i'd end up at your door

for my headlights
grew dim
but the storm wore on
and the fireworks set off
from your dingy back porch
couldn't guide me home

so i'll keep searching.

I love the language and imagery you used. You kept it subtle, not in your face romance, and that's what is so refreshing about this piece. I like how you kept it mysterious, but you still weren't afraid to peek out behind every corner. The "For my headlights..." stanza is beautiful, especially how, for the last line, you pulled the whole piece together. Great job. :)

Fear is the dumbest thing we’ve ever created in our mind, it’s so stupid, it stands in the way of everything and accomplishes nothing.

Wow, sums up teenage romance pretty well. Love the vivid descriptions

"Oooh! Dark matter, we better bring a flashlight!"

This poem is really great, it uses great language, and it's not too obvious, it's kind of mysterious, but you can still tell what's going on, perfect
