The Flame of Prometheus

I have been locked away for many years.
Hidden away, with no hope of helping humanity
Who were made to live in ignorance
Like beasts in the fields.
But then he came for me and I made my escape.
The humans looked upon me dazed and confused.
But the genius Prometheus would teach them what to do.
I can now hear the crackling as I engulf a once-powerful kingdom.
And the man who freed me…
He now lies in chains.
