Freedom Isn't Free
This majestic bird represents the freedom of the United States.
The place I call home
A place I want to defend.
-What will I learn as I leave this place called home?
--The voice of a drill sergeant making me shake in my boots
As they swoop in to get their food
I will be swooping into enemy territory to fight off whoever poses a threat.
-As I’m leaving this alluring country
--I look out the window of the plane and see this striking bird that represent this country
At the end of the day the eagle goes back to its nest to rest
As I go back to base or make a shelter for the night
-Home is wherever you make it whether it’s 2 blocks down the street from Busch Stadium one day and halfway around the world the next
The eagles most important task is to protect the ones they love
As is mine I will always protect the ones I love, my family
- family doesn't have to be blood
Eagles try to avoid disturbance
As will I if I’m on a mission
An Eagle is never done protecting their family until death comes
I will never be done fighting for freedom until I die
-If I’m killed fighting for your freedom I will die knowing I did my best to protect you
It’s kill or be killed and I’m willing to take that risk
