Ode to Earth
In outer space, you look like a beautiful orb
spinning so gracefully
on your orbit around the Sun.
You look as if your are spinning
through a halo of sunlight.
Your rocky surface is like your skin.
Your trees are your fingers
reaching for your sky.
Your tears are the rainfall that
give life to all living things.
Your oceans befriend the clouds
that smile down on me.
And your mountains are where I reside
because that is where I see your true beauty.
