You
I love the way you make me feel,
I love the way you laugh,
I love the way you always make a big deal,
And I love how when you get a drink, you always share half.
I love the way when I do something dumb, you always raise your eyebrow,
I love that you don’t live in the past, but only in the here and now.
I love how you are always there for me, especially when I am sad,
I love the way you’re on my side, even when it’s not good, it’s bad.
I love how we always try to plan a perfect date,
I love how you act like all you feel is hate.
I love you but I wish you could see,
That the only thing I hate about you, is how you are with a loser like me.
I hate myself for not giving you all I can,
I hate myself for forgetting to hold your hand.
I hate myself for letting you down,
I hate myself for getting nervous and not making a sound.
But there is one thing that I love about me, and I swear it’s true.
And it is I love myself for hurting me, rather than hurting you.
