Time
Why is he so rude?
Why is he in such a bad mood?
He wakes me up from my sleep
And when I have good dreams
He even took the life of my great-grandmother by all means
Tick Tock Tick Tock
He seems to never stop
And I asked him why
But his answer was so short
And it left me with a sigh
He just simply can't
It’s all he has ever known
How can he learn to stop
When he has never even been shown
I asked, “Do you ever want to quit
Just ticking all the time?”
But he had a strange response
“No, that would be a terrible crime.”
“A Crime?” I said
And then he turned his head
The ticking stopped, as well as time
And then he quickly fled
I could only watch as he ran away
For I couldn’t move any which way
I finally understood what he was trying to say
Because everything, not just time, had stopped on that day
