When Love Came to Me

Love stops for no one-
He brought me on a journey-
With doubts, imperfections
And deformity.
We move fast-He wastes no time.
I have mixed emotions running everywhere
Do I stay or do I go,
He told me I will never know.
We pass the Church, where spouses vow
To love and to cherish-
Until their lungs give out.
We continue walking-
He says “Look to your right”-
A tall handsome man-stares at me in plain sight-
And I feel tenderness and warmth-
For the first time in my life.
