Seasons I Remember
Seasons I remember
I remember the sun rays beating down on my face, making my eyes squint
At the pool, splashing cold water onto the pavement, getting burnt head to toe
Eating ice cream from the concession stand and laughing with friends
Spending summer days at the pool from open to close
I remember the leaves changing colors and starting to fall
Football games starting, watching my brother play on friday nights
Spending time with my friends under the bleachers
Weather cooling down and changing wardrobe selections
I remember seeing my breathe in the cold air
Making snowmen and drinking hot chocolate
Roads covered in snow and ice
Being snowed in for days, no school, happy as can be
I remember birds chirping and flowers blooming
Starting a garden in the backyard with my dad
Picking seeds out of the things I wanted to grow
Spending all day with my dad
