Mother
My mother's picture sits on my nightstand,
while I rest my eyes.
My father was never there when I needed to cry.
My mother stayed with me,
until they were dry.
She always saw the best in me,
even when I lie.
My mother is my hero,
and always reminds me to be strong.
She teaches me things,
beyond my summer flings,
she teaches me the importance of happiness and prosperity
and the beauty in everything.
How I wish to be with every moment of everyday,
because the days grow longer when I’m not with her.
My mother, she is my best friend
My mother, I’ll love her till the end.
