As I’m dancin’ here, with my girl
I see you across the room.
Dancin’ by yourself, in a little red dress
That you think is so uncool
But I’m trapped, here
With a girl that I can’t stand
As I take, a moment
To think about the times that I have been missin’
What am I missin’ with you

Why can’t we get out of this place?
How can I put a smile on your face?
‘Cause I just can’t find a way,
To say what I’ve been trying to say.
And I just want you to see
How nice a pair we could be
But I don’t know what to do
To show that I love you

It’s been a year, since that night
And for me things aren’t the same.
I broke up with her, and now I’m free
But that doesn’t seem to make a change
‘Cause you’re into someone
And that someone isn’t me
And I’ve taken too many moments
To think about the times that I have been missin’
What am I missin’ with you?

Why can’t I get out of this phase?
Can you please put a smile on my face?
‘Cause I still can’t find a way,
To say what I’ve been tryin’ to say
And I just want you to see,
How nice a pair we could be.
But I don’t know what I could do
To show that I love you

I have to say, I was quite surprised
When you said “hell yes” to me.
But now you’re here, hangin’ on my arm
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Cause I’m right, here
With my arm around your shoulders
As we take a moment
To think about the times that we had been missin’
I was missin’ so much without you.

No one could ever get me out of this phase:
Laughin’ with a smile on my face
‘Cause I finally found a way
To say what I’ve been tryin’ to say.
And I’m so glad that we can see
How nice a pair we can be
But I still don’t know what I could do,
To show how much, I really love you.
