My Heart
Heartbeat;
What do I hear?
It repeats, bittersweet,
Reverberates inside my ear.
Like loud angry drums tumbling around.
Weighing,
And frustrating.
I’m no longer soothed, dear.
We no longer hug, here. You’re just
Smug, like you’re pleased to see me hurting.
Heartbeat;
I’m losing weight.
Please! feelings inside,
Stop trying to asphyxiate.
My heartbeat might soon become incomplete.
No air,
Can you feel it?
The tightness in your chest,
Sting of sadness upon your breast.
The ultimate ending to any end.
Heartbeat.
