I get in the car.

Palms sweaty.

Beats on music blasting.

My dad starts the car and off we go.

We get there and find a parking spot.

Walk in and instant noise.

People cheering.

Names being called over the intercom.

And lots and lots of people.

We get in line.

It's a long one.

So i start running.

When we make it to the front the ref checks my skin .

Then i step on the scale and tell them my name.

12 hours later i roll out of bed eyes tired and hair messed up.

Its 6 am and im getting dressed.

A few minutes later my mom walks in and asks what i want to eat.

I tell her oatmeal with strawberries in it.

The same thing i eat every sunday morning.

Once im done its the same as last night.

In the car and off we go.

The next thing i knew i was getting woken up and we were walking in.

In we go and just like yesterday its loud.

Less people shouting just a lot more people.

I find my friend carter in the stands.

we go down to the mat and warm up with each other.

Once we are done warming up wrestling begins .

I’m on deck i'm getting in my zone.

Getting stretched out .

Warmed up .

Music blasting .

My names called and out i go onto the mat .

The kid im facing was first in 5.

I lost but was the only one that didn't get pinned in the first round .

The second match i do my whole warmup routine again.

Then i figure out who it is .

The kid i've lost to 4 times this season .

You know id like to tell you it was like the movies .

But it wasn't i lost again and that means i'm out of the tournament.

This made me upset .

But i was proud of myself.

And then i got in the car and went home sad.

I wish i could say i went home on a throne like alexander the great.

But i didn't.
