I am stuck in my own way.
I wonder why it bothers me so.
I hear the people who despise me.
I see that they know I know.
I want something good to say.
I am stuck in my own way.

I pretend that there are no lies.
I feel that I am no longer me.
I touch the tangible.
I worry for the weary.
I cry for those who cannot say what they need to say
I am stuck in my own way.

I understand, now, who I am.
I say to the world, “ I am me!”
I dream that people can see what I see.
I try to be the best I can be.
I hope to keep those who despise me at bay.
I am stuck in my own way.
