Mother
My mother used to sing me a song
Till one day everything became grey,
But now life seems to be so wrong.
Remembering the days that were long,
Believing she was able to stay,
My mother used to sing me a song.
When she was here, I felt I would belong,
And God would hear me pray,
But now life seems to be so wrong.
Now I just trug along-
Where all I wanna do is lay,
My mother used to sing me a song.
All of a sudden,I hear my mother say, “be strong”.
That's when I knew, I needed to find my way.
But now I can’t make my life seem to be so wrong.
I knew not to prolong,
I needed to seize the day
Because my mother used to sing me a song,
Now life doesn’t seem to be so wrong.
