True Colors
Crunch!
Eating salted caramel peanuts
While sitting on our butts
Going outside
With a very big stride
Running to the front
It’s time to pull the stunt
We filmed for five minutes
With peanuts in hand
Having fun
As we headed back
That was when I was done
Joy on my face
As I quicken my pace
Outrunning them all
But then again, I’m tall
I jumped onto the wood
Trying my best
But I slid and fell
Right in front of the rest
The wooden stair was ice under my feet
One second is all it took for me to go down
My leg was now beat
Time to get off the ground
I jumped up
As I was questioned
Trying not to cry like a little pup
The peanuts were okay
But I could not say the same
Embarrassment was now in me
As I tried to flee
I was inside the house
Sitting on the couch
Being as quiet as a mouse
Feeling a sting
I checked my leg
But saw nothing
The next day was when its true colors showed
