Awkwardness surrounds everyone
Awkwardness surrounds everyone.
Above, below or even beside
It hides inside the classroom
And inside your locker
We realize it’s around
But we can’t do anything about it
Awkwardness is silent
So silent you can hear your heartbeat
The moment you’ve realized
You’ve said something wrong
The feeling of standing in front of the class
About to say something
But you can’t
And the class becomes very quiet.
When you’re near someone you like
Your heart beats faster
You say something
People look, no response.
Awkward is just everywhere
Lurking and waiting for its chance
You can’t avoid it
But you can always play it cool
It is a weird thing
But it happens to everyone.
