Serenity
A cool, crisp, refreshing breeze,
White clouds, and a gray sky,
Green trees shifting color like changing clothes,
A crazy chipmunk chased,
By my equally crazy puppy,
I pass an old lady as sweet as butterscotch,
Feeding birds on her porch,
The wind guides me to a park,
Where the trees are dancing in the wind,
As I turn back for home,
A red leaf falls onto the ground,
Signalling that fall is coming,
The smell of fresh cut grass,
Reminds me I have some yard work to do,
My dog barks, eager to return home,
But before we leave,
My pup goes after another chipmunk.
