I Don't Wanna Hear a Poem
i wanna hear a poem about the irrelevance of poetry
Maybe because i love irony
Maybe because it's stuffed down my throat unstoppingly
Maybe it’s because i wanna be different
more efficient
Maybe rather than popping rhymes i could be solving crimes
They say they do it to express,
Rather than causing inspiration, it causes distress.
As i grow older listening to people hiss and groan
i could be out there making myself known
