“F****t” they yell as I pass by

“You won’t try to date me right?” my female friends ask

“You are a sinner in the eyes of god and sick!” my dad yells with clinched fist

“I love you how you are” my mom says wiping my tears with steady soft hands

“I love you baby” my girlfriend says with meaning

Words hurt, they don’t always heal

I’m human like you

I just like the same sex

Is that a problem?

“But gay couples raise gay kids right?” my father questions me with burning coals in his eyes

“Straight couples do too, you did…” I say with a faded smile

Do you not recall?

“How will you have a kids?”

Dull minded people ask those questions

There is adoption, sperm donors, surrogates, whatever it takes

You care more about putting me down?

Why don’t you stop school shooters, rapist, and kidnappers?

Aren’t they worse?

Your thoughts are so limited
