A Tribute To My Family
A tribute to my family
I am not pleased,
I am not pleased with the outcome of my relationship,
My mom, my dad and my brothers
It provides my body with a sensation of wretchedness
It fills my mind and soul with darkness,
Knowing I can’t come home and have people to fall on.
It hurts my personal well being and my mental stability,
There needs to be a vital change that takes place.
Things have been discussed
Tension has been resolved and most importantly,
Changes have finally been made
I am pleased,
I am pleased with the outcome of my relationship,
The relationship with my family.
It provides my body with a sensation of exhilaration
It fills my mind and soul with energy,
Knowing I have a good connection,
With the people I love most
Family is like fall, the excitement of the leaves starting to change,
The temperature dropping to the point I can wear sweaters,
Drink hot coffee, cold football games and going to cider mills.
They place joy in my heart and life,
They make my eyes shine like the summers bright blue sky
My smile sparkles and my heart beat sprints
I imagined this to only be a dream.

I wrote this piece in my creative writing class and I enjoyed the process of getting to this point in my poem. I wrote this due to my relationship with my family and how it has dramatically grown.
