The ceiling, my screen, and me,
Enclosed in all four walls,
Laughing when he texts me,
Happy when he calls.
The sky, the bay, and him,
The stars so far away,
His smile when I answer,
Makes everything okay.
A chair, the distance, and us,
So close yet far apart,
But still when I see him,
A flutter in my heart.
