We once belonged to each other
We once belonged to each other
His shoulder was reserved for my tears
Whenever I needed help, he was always the first to volunteer
Together we talked with passion,
Smiled for no reason, and
Laughed about everything.
Our love was ubiquitous,
But that was then and this is now.
We are no longer as close;
Our relationship is like a shriveled up rose.
We talk with apathy,
Smile vacuously and
Our laughs lie.
The love is now nowhere to be seen.
I can see why;
He now has another girl on his shoulder.
