The smell of diesel fuel and the sound of other trains passing by fill the air. You open the door to the locomotive, sit down, and get ready for a long trip. You are a train conductor getting a mixed freight ready for departure. This passage will teach you  the benefits of a train conductor.

Hours and job description
The job of a train conductor is almost the same as a train engineers. They operate part of the locomotive, maintain radio  contact with rail yards and other trains, and operate special kinds of train track. One good thing in my opinion is you get to travel a lot.The average conductor works a shift of “12 hours a day to 40 hours a week.” Most of the time, conductors work over night.

Salary
Some benefits of a train conductor are their salaries and the certain things they do.A train conductors average salary” is $26.38 for every hour they work.” That would add up to thousands of dollars every. Even hundreds of dollars at the end of each month. Sometimes at the end of the week.

Primary job description
Other benefits for train conductors is their jobs. However, you need a high school diploma and other educational back ground. Conductors do things such as:” throw railway switches, operate freight cars in the railyard, review train schedules, distribute weight throughout the train, and maintain shipping records and other paperwork.” Some conductors are often referred to as yard masters. The only risks are derailments, loose equipment, improper use of equipment, and often incoming trains.

In conclusion, these are the risks, benefits, and descriptions for a freight train conductors. The same descriptions go for engineers and other railroad workers. Although you are not home most of the time, the traveling will be worth it. Often times, trains run in the same state.  I hope this essay will teach you what to expect as a conductor when you get out of training.
