Did you know that 5 kids die everyday because of child abuse? Jeremy Waters is a boy that lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is just now sharing his story.

When Jeremy was around 10 years old when he got abused for the 100th time by his mother. He said that she would hit, scratch, kick, scream, make him drink hot sauce, and even burn him with hot coffee. He always wondered, why? Why is this happening to me? Why does she hate me so much?

His mom had about 5 boyfriends a month coming in who would hit and burn Jeremy with their cigarettes. He just wished it could be all over. He still loved his mom, even though she keeps doing all of these things to him. It never really agitated him until one day she made Jeremy drink hot sauce. 
While Jeremy was dusting the house he accidentally knocked his moms favorite vase off the shelf. She ran into the room screaming, “What happened?!”

Jeremy looked down to his bony feet closing his eyes shut waiting for her to back-hand him across the face. When he didn’t feel the blaze of the hit or the shrieking anymore he opened his cloudy eyes and looked at her. She had hot sauce in her hand.

“Drink this!” she yelled at him.

This is how little children get abused into their homes. That was just a minor example of what people do to kids.
If you see or hear your neighbor abusing a child, you need to call for help or tell someone. Don’t try to stop it, get help right away.

If you are in a situation where you’re thinking about or abusing your child, you need to get help right away. Be patient with your child. If you are having a stressful day then get a babysitter and get out of the house for a bit.
Please do not abuse your child like Jeremy’s mother did. It is a sad and terrible thing. You wouldn’t want to be caught doing it. Would you?
