Find a job
I woke up on a saturday morning, I just stared at my ceiling and thought I need to make money. Not for stuff like shoes or clothes, but for my future. I was tired of watching people on social media living my dreams. Later that morning I opened my bank account and I found negative fice dollars in there. That made me realized that I need to step it up. I opened youtube and searched for ways to make money. It was difficult finding stuff online because most of them are scammers that sell useless courses. Later in school during business class I came upon the idea of investing. Where I make the money work for me. I was curious about investing so I opened my phone and started researching about it. I came across an article from investopedia explaining that the S&P 500 grows about 10% every year. I was learning about index funds and I decided to come up with a plan. When I get a job I put part of my paycheck in investing consistently. On the way home from school, I decided to drop my stuff home and go out to find a job. I walked around main street trying to find a local job. I hear loud noises everywhere and the streets are flooded with people. Everyone is outside doing their own things. I went into a boba shop asking if they were hiring. They said yes but you need to speak fluent chinese. That was a problem for me because my chinese wasn't that good. They did not hire me for that reason so I decided to change tactics. I decided to go to bayside where the language is more english. On the Q13, I saw so many stores that could possibly be hiring. At one of the stop, a homeless guy came on the bus and he got kicked off for not paying. When I got to bell blvd, I saw so many stores I can get hired from. I went into Kung Fu tea asking the girl if they are hiring, She said yes and I locked in for a second, I filled out the job application and I was confident that they will hire. I went on to the next store and I applied to be a waiter at kyu Ramen, After I applied there , I walked back and I saw carvel was hiring. She told me to email my resume and they usually reply after 4 weeks. After applying to all those stores, I took the q13 home and I saw a smoke shop getting raided by 5 police cars. After I got home, I was confident that one of them will email me back. After 3 weeks of waiting I started to lose hope. Thats when I decided to go find jobs online. I went on indeed to look for barista jobs. I applied to 20 stores and one of them called me back. I was so happy and she said she will text me and schedule an interview. After 3 days, there was still no text message on my phone. This made me search even harder and I decided to apply to movie theaters because it is +16 and you don’t need experience to work there. After months of waiting for someone to reply back, no one texted me. I was back on my bed staring at the ceiling again. I was shocked that out of all the stores I applied none of them texted me back. It felt impossible to get hired and I was exhausted. I started to lose all hope so I went on tiktok to see how people were getting hired. They have this new app that makes finding jobs easier. I decided to try it out but I got interrupted by my mom. We had to start packing our stuff to move to a new house. So i started packing my things to move. It was a lot but I eventually finished.
