INT.CAR-DAY
The (next) group we follow are a brother, his younger sister, and his girlfriend...

The guy (BRIANT, 16), and his girlfriend (KARA, 17) wait in a BLUE car (make it an 90’s Oldsmobile!)

A few seconds later, Briant’s sister (JESSICA,14) comes, she tries to open the door, but it’s locked, Briant has to open it manually (because, yes, his car is THAT old- it may not even have air bags). Kara throws her backpack into the car (it looks like it’s in rage)

KARA
(to Jessica)
How was you day?

JESSICA
Moved like a narwhal. How ’bout
you?

KARA
Like a Chupacabra.

JESSICA
Well that’s highly improbable,
figuring that I AM the Chupacabra
and it’s impossible for a day to
work like me.

KARA
Interesting.

JESSICA
Yes it is. I know.

Briant is trying to pull out of their school parking lot,
but no one’s letting him in, this puts him into an "all
caps" rage.

BRIANT
Why are people so stupid?

KARA
Maybe it’s because your face is
stupid.

JESSICA
OOOOOO!

BRIANT
(sarcastic)
Oooo, oooo, that one hurt.

Briant palms Kara’s face (Briant is a lot bigger than both
Kara and Jessica, his hand covers Kara’s entire face- it
looks funnier than it sounds, trust me)

Briant has an opening, he pulls out really fast, almost
hitting the car that was going to pull up.

BRIANT
Ha! Take that b****!

KARA
Hey, watch your language, we have a
little freshie in the car.

BRIANT
It’s my mouth, I’ll do what I want
with it.

JESSICA
Based on your size, haven’t you
done enough with your mouth
already?

KARA
OOooohhh!

JESSICA
Oooohhh!

BRIANT
I would throw you out of this car
right now if that wasn't one of the
best comebacks I have ever heard.

JESSICA
Who, Kara or me?

BRIANT
Both.
Jessica and Kara high five.

Briant keeps driving.
Kara turns on the radio.

BRIANT
(directed to Jessica, but he
can’t look at her)
Are we dropping you off at your
little media thingy?

JESSICA
Yeah.

KARA
Shut up! I love this song!

Kara turns up the song. She starts singing to it (really out of tune and just as loud as the radio is)

(If it ends up being the song Some Nights, Jessica and
Briant will join in with her singing- and be just as off tune as she is, if it’s Fallin to Pieces then Kara is going to add her little twist to the song - like saying "I’m all choked up- because I have a dime in my throat,but you’re okay, I’m falllliiiin to pieeeeeces- because a serial killer chopped me up, yeah I’m faaaaallliiin to pieeeeeces....." and so on)

EXT. 8-18 MEDIA-DAY

Briant pulls into a parking spot, parallel parked.

BRIANT
Oh, look at that skill right there.

JESSICA
Like magic, Briant, like magic.

Jessica grabs her backpack.

JESSICA
Thank you Kara for making my day
with that wonderful song. (fake
crying) goodbye, I’ll miss you.

KARA
(said obviously)
I’m going to your house today, I’ll
be there when you get back.

JESSICA
Oh..... well then!

Jessica leaves, Briant manually locks the door, they pull away and Jessica walks inside the 8-18 Media building.
