August 2022 Fiction Contest: Untamed
August 11, 2022
Smooth and shiny
each scale was like touching Organza.
I gripped the Bridle, as the immense dragon soared
The morning Air was crisp and fresh like the heavens.
I looked over to see the other Dragonriders
As we raced with the sun.
It was my first time
yet it felt like I've been doing this for years.
The clouds pop in gold and pink as the sunset reflects onto my dragons shimmering wings.
I'm no longer a little boy, I'm a true dragon rider in my soul
I shall ride til dusk and dawn,my heart free.
I am untamed
