“How’s school?” her family asked at Thanksgiving

She hadn’t seen them since moving to a prestigious college across the country.

“It’s been fine,” she replied.

She didn’t want to tell the truth. She failed out a month ago and has been living in the homeless shelter across the street since.

She didn’t want to disappoint.

Holy Moly dark a twist Death doesn't know what to say- Unexpected certainly that's for sure. The idea this story puts into my head- There is nothing to say about this the girl failed and she lives at a homeless shelter honestly that is very dark and horrifying the unstable tower she has built upon her lies not wanting to disappoint her family. It is not dark in the sense of murder or kidnapping but a sense of sadness. Very beautiful. . . keep up the good work and remember Death is on your heels, you have my like. . .
