The Rise of Chris P. Bacon (short story)

I looked into a dark alley, preparing for the worst. The man in black was just across the street from me. He wasn't a man, i can tell. The outline of his clothes didn't seem right.? His body was held up by two prosthetic legs. I looked into the alley and thought, "this is the only way out." The figure seemed to wait for me to make a move. I dashed into the alley and then i was suddenly surrounded darkness. I tripped over many objects and my jeans were wet from the splashes of puddles on the floor. After running for, what felt like many hours, i can see light. The light illuminated the pitch black alley. Next to it was a metal door. I grabbed the knob and tried to turn it but it wouldn't budge. I looked around for a big rock and found it. I smashed the door knob five times before it finally broke. I opened the door and the light flickered off. I went inside and closed the door behind me. I pulled my phone out from my pocket and clicked on the flashlight app. I held the phone in front of me to see the figure standing right in front of me. A hood over his whole body not showing who the figure really is. I fell backwards.

"Please spare me! I don't know what i did wrong. Please i will do anything!" I frantically said.

"You know who i am. You know what you did." The deep voice said to me.

             "I don't!"

He removed his long coat. Standing in front of me was Chris P. Bacon. "You're the reporter that laughed at me, am i right?"

"No! Please im sorry. I shouldn't have laughed. Just let me go!."

"You don't know how it feels, do you? To have only two legs." He said while looking at the shiny knife in his hands.

             "I have two legs."

"Nevermind. YOU WILL PAY." He came forward on his two prosthetic legs, with his knife.

             "NOOOOOOOO!"
