Rose Red
There once there was a girl named Red.
She lived with her mother and father, who ran a bakery.
She was as happy and joyful as a girl could be.
One day, Red's mother asked her to deliver some bread to her Grandmother, who lived deep in the woods.
Red took her hooded cape with her, along with the basket of bread.
While Red was strolling in the woods, she heard a sound. She stopped and turned to see a dark shape looming in the shadows.
Before she could scream, the dark shape stepped out of the shadows.
The shape revealed itself to be a tall wolf in a tuxedo, holding a red rose.
The wolf approached her and gave her the rose.
"For you, dearest Red," Mr Wolf said.
Time passed, and Mr Wolf and Red became good friends. They frolicked together in the green grass and ate berries together.
One time, Mr Wolf even pretended to be Red's Grandmother, by dressing in her clothes and lying in her bed.
One day, Red went to the woods to look for Mr Wolf, who was nowhere to be found.
She spent hours and hours looking but found no Mr Wolf.
It was getting late, and Red was starting to head home when she heard a strange sound.
She turned to see Mr Wolf, standing in the shadows.
"Mr Wolf!" She cried, "I have been looking for you all day."
When Mr Wolf did not respond, she walked closer to him.
"Mr Wolf?" she asked, "is everything okay?"
Suddenly, Mr Wolf brandished a large knife and plunged it into her heart.
"Yes, Red, everything is just fine," whispered Mr Wolf as he let go of Red.
He watched as Red lay in the white roses, her blood staining them a deep red.
There once was a girl named Red.
One day, Red came across a wolf named Mr Wolf, who offered her a rose.
The rose was a red rose, a rose red with the blood of the last Red.

I've always wanted to write a short story/poem about a twisted version of a fairytale. I find that, when squeezed the right way, a story can become more than just words.
